ADULT COURSES

1. Adult General English

Donegal English Language School offers General English courses for students of elementary to advanced level. English is not just learned in the classroom but outside through your exploration of The Wild Atlantic Way.

2. Adult English & Surfing

We offer quality coaching with experienced, qualified, local surfers. Our aim is to ensure your surfing skills progress in a fun and safe environment. We believe we can help you achieve your surfing goals by keeping groups small and providing personal attention to each student. Regular feedback is always given to students to ensure progression. We have a range of different boards for you to try, so you can progress

3. English, Activity & Wellness Programme

Our specially designed English Activity & Wellness programme allows you to develop your English rapidly with our expert teachers and through a range of activities to help rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.

Wellness activities

You will be given the choice of 5 of the below activities per week. Apart from the Holistic Therapist, each activity can be chosen more than once. Activities are in a 1-2-1 or small group setting and include:

English Classes

Students have the option of choosing the General English programme in a small group setting or one to one tuition dedicated to your learning needs

4. Adult Work Study Visa

Donegal English Language School offers an 8 month Work Study Visa Programme.

Our Work Study Programme includes: 25 weeks of classes (minimum of 15 hours per week) & 8 weeks holiday

English classes are every morning 9:15 – 12:30, Monday – Friday every week.

Under this programme you are permitted to work part-time during your studies and full-time during the 8 weeks of holidays. We will provide you with all necessary documents for your application for entry to Ireland.

5.Adult One to One

Our One to One course is tailormade for the student who needs to make rapid progress or concentrate on a particular area of English such as grammar, pronunciation, an upcoming exam or a job interview.

6. Adult Exam Intensive

DELS offers excellent Exam Preparation courses for the Cambridge exams – FCE ( First Certificate Exam ), CAE ( Cambridge Advanced Exam ) and the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam. Oral and written practice using past exam papers, along with technique and tips on how to approach the exam ensure excellent results.

7. Adult Bespoke Business English

DELS is offering a specially designed Executive English course which allows students to develop their business English rapidly and consistently with our small interactive classes and additional one to one tuition.

8. Adult Combination Programme

DELS is offering a blended learning programme that combines group tuition with two hours of 1-2-1 per week dedicated to preparing for your exam.

Morning classes are international and have a maximum of 12 students with an average of 8. The 1-2-1 tuition is flexible to your schedule.

9. Adult Online General English

DELS is offering a blended learning programme that combines group tuition with expert tutors , opportunities for peer collaboration and social interaction with native English speakers.

Along with the 15 hours of contact English with our expert tutors, students also have the option of joining additional online social activities. Activities are run twice per week and are led by our teachers. This gives students the opportunity to use their English outside of class and help promote fluency.

ACCOMMODATION

The residential accommodation is less than one minute’s walk from the Atlantic Ocean and 5 minutes walk from the school and town centre. The house is very spacious with a sitting room, dining room and a well equipped kitchen for self-catering. Some rooms offer sea or mountain views and most rooms are ensuite.

We work closely with a select number of high quality local hotels all within a short distance of the school.

We work with a select number of hosts that offer a warm welcome and a home from home experience. All our Homestays are within 5 – 15 minutes of the school and town. You will have a private room with half-board accommodation (breakfast and an evening meal).
