Berlin is not only the capital but also the lively cultural center of Germany. The international atmosphere is comparable to New York or London. Over the last years people from all over the world came to live and work in Berlin: politicians, artists, businessmen, film-makers and writers.
Every year a great number of festivals and parades – such as ‘Carneval of Cultures’ – are filling the streets of Berlin. People enjoy the multi-nationality of Berlin’s inhabitants. Each district is different – in Kreuzberg you can find a lovely Turkish market with delicious food, in Prenzlauer Berg a lot of small bars and at Potsdamer Platz the International Film Festival takes place every year. In numerous museums and exhibitions you can discover the diverse world of arts or learn about the history of Germany. By making a tour through the city you can explore the various projects of contemporary architecture which have been built within the recent years. The surroundings offer various leisure possibilities such as canoeing on the lakes of Mecklenburg or visiting the beautiful castles of Potsdam.
COURSES
STANDARD COURSE
20 lessons per week, 45 min. each
The Standard Course offers speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in small groups of maximum 12 participants.
INTENSIVE GERMAN COURSE
25 lessons per week, 45 min. each
In the Intensive Course you will also develop the skills provided by our Standard Course with an additional special focus on communication. Maximum 12 participants.
MINI GROUP COURSE
20 lessons per week, 45 min. each, max 6 participants
This course has been especially developed to meet the requirements of those people who prefer to study in a very small group on a very intensive basis. In this course you will have the guarantee that there will be not more than 6 people in your group. Important notice: This mini group course is available only from October until June (not in July, August and September).
COMBINED GERMAN COURSE
Standard Course + 5 or 10 one-to-one lessons, 45 min. each
You will take part in the Standard Course and additionally receive one-to-one private lessons where you will practice your German intensively and where you and your teacher can focus on your specific individual requirements.
INDIVIDUAL TUITION
Lessons of 45 min. each
Individual lessons are the most intensive form of language learning and ensure the greatest possible success. The lessons are tailored to suit the needs of anyone requiring specialized vocabulary for professional purposes, a particularly high standard of language training or for those wishing to make maximum progress in minimum time.
CITY-COMBI-COURSE
Choose the course you like (Standard, Intensive, Mini-Group, Individual Tuition or Combined Course) and split the weeks up between Munich and Berlin at no extra costs.
EXAM PREPARATION COURSE
20 lessons per week, 45 min. each, max. 6 participants, duration 4 weeks, Mon-Fri 2:30pm – 6pm
This course prepares you for the TELC or Goethe exams at B1, B2 or C1 level. At least B1 level is required before starting this course.
PATHWAY ADMISSION COURSE
20 lessons per week, 45 min. each, max. 6 participants, duration 4 weeks, Mon-Fri 2:30pm – 6pm
This course prepares you for the entry German exams to Studienkolleg or directly to university. Your German level needs to be B2 or C1 before entering this course.
ACCOMMODATION
SCHOOL-OWNED SHARED APARTMENT
In our students’ apartment you will share a flat with other students of our school. You have the option to book a twin room which you will share with another student of a different nationality or to book a single room just for yourself. In both cases, you will be sharing the kitchen and bathroom with all students living in the residence. Minimum age – 20 y.o.
SCHOOL-OWNED SHARED APARTMENT PLUS
This option offers the same possibilities as the normal shared students’ apartment, however there is more comfort due to a washing maschine, dishwasher and above all WiFi/WLAN internet connection.
LIVING IN A HOST FAMILY
This option offers the possibility to indulge into German daily life, culture and food and the opportunity to speak German also after school hours. There is no such thing as a classical “host family”, so your accommodation could be with a big family of father, mother, two kids and a dog as well as a single mother and her child, a single person or a couple.
