Musical Theater camp, Toronto

Toronto is Canada’s largest city and offers an amazing number of attractions, events and festivals making it a great cosmopolitan summer camp location. Lake Ontario, Niagara Falls, Canada’s Wonderland and many other famous sites are within reach.

Tamwood’s summer camp is located in the University of Toronto, Mississauga. The campus is situated on 225 acres of protected greenbelt along the Credit River and is 20 minutes by car from the Toronto airport and 25 kilometers west of the city centre of Toronto. The location of this campus makes it a very safe and attractive choice for international campers.

PERFORMING ARTS CAMP

In the Performing Arts program at UTM-Mississauga, teen campers will explore and develop skills in Drama, Acting and Theatre, Music, Dance, and Film. Led by passionate instructors with a variety of Performing Arts backgrounds, campers will work together to produce a final showcase including song, dance and non-musical scenes for other campers and Tamwood staff.

This challenging and exciting course will not only encourage campers to build new friendships and self-confidence and but also provide an immersive English language experience.

When not in class, students enjoy planned activities on campus as well as field trips to explore the fast paced and exciting city of Toronto. Toronto is an epicenter of culture, the city is well known for the many Broadway plays, improv groups and an impressive collection of large and small theatres throughout the city.

Accommodation

You have the option to live on campus or with a carefully selected homestay family. The modern residence on campus features private rooms with semi-private washrooms, bright and clean dining facilities and spacious common areas. Homestay families are carefully selected by Tamwood’s homestay manager. By living with a host family you will have the opportunity to experience Canadian family life close-up.

Meals on campus are served buffet style and homestay students enjoy full board accommodation with lunch provided on campus, Monday to Saturday.
