Since 2003 we help people from all over the world to learn and improve the German language. We also assist in the areas of study advice, career guidance, accommodation, so you can concentrate on what is most important; learning German!
German Intensive Course
We offer intensive German courses at all levels, from A1 to C2, and preparatory courses for the most critical German-language exams such as telc and TestDaF & DSH.
The intensive German course takes place between Monday and Friday (9 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. or 12.30 p.m. to 3.45 p.m.).
In addition to the 20 hours of face-to-face classes, you should also plan for 15 additional hours per week for homework, vocabulary, and presentation preparation.

Intensive German Course + One-to-One Tuition
This course option offers an intensive course and individual tuition.
We recommend this course for students who wish to make remarkably rapid progress. It is ideal for students who want to work on specific topics: grammar, reading comprehension, and more. In addition to the ordinary intensive course, you can book 5 or 10 additional lessons per week as individual lessons.
The intensive course takes place from Monday to Friday 9 a.m.-12.15 p.m. or 12.30 p.m. – 3.45 p.m. In addition, there are extra individual lessons per day.

Superintensive German Course
The Superintensive German Course is perfect for anyone who wants to improve and intensify their German language skills. This course is divided into two parts: in the morning you have normal group lessons and in the afternoon you practice your oral skills in a group with the support of one of our professional German teachers. In these lessons you will discuss different topics in the group, e.g. books you have read, you will discuss a topic or prepare presentations. Accordingly, you can improve your presentation skills and your cultural knowledge in this course. Success is guaranteed!
We offer intensive German courses at all levels, from A1 to C2.
The intensive German course takes place Monday to Friday (09:00 to 13:00 or 13:15 to 17:15).

Superintensive German + Conversation Course
Our Superintensive Course (+ Conversation) with 30 hours per week is suitable for you if you would like to work on your language skills in particular. In addition to the usual group course in the morning, you will devote ten additional hours to discussions, presentations, and book reviews based on the respective coursebook. For example, readings about Heidelberg are read together, edited, and then presented to the class. The fastest possible learning success is guaranteed here!
We recommend this course mainly to students attending our school for a shorter period of a maximum of 4 weeks, due to the high workload involved. Our Superintensive Course is also more suitable for students at A2 level and above. In addition to the 30 hours per week, you will need the same amount of follow-up time for tasks such as homework.

Accomodation
Alpha Aktiv Student Residence Heidelberg
We offer our students different accommodation options in Heidelberg. There are three buildings in the city center of Heidelberg and one in the idyllic district of Ziegelhausen, in which single and double rooms are available for our students.
In our dormitory, we give you a couple of options. You can either live alone or with another student in a room and share the bathroom and kitchen with the other residents on the same floor.
Single room (dormitory Bismarckplatz) € 170/ 1 week

Single room (dormitory Ziegelhausen) € 140/ 1 week

Alpha Aktiv Apartments Heidelberg
Aside from our student dormitories, there is also the possibility of staying in apartments owned by us. Each apartment has its own bathroom and kitchenette inside.
In addition to the one-room apartments, used as single or double-room apartments, we also offer two-room flats.

Alpha Aktiv Host Families
Our host families are an alternative to accommodation in a student dormitory or an apartment.
Living with a host family selected by us offers the best opportunity to get to know the German way of life and hospitality and improve your language skills by practicing everyday phrases in exchange with native speakers.
Accommodation is usually half board (breakfast and dinner) but can be adjusted according to your wishes.
