ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Malta is one of the most visitor friendly countries in Europe, making it a great place for young learners to study English. Sliema is a popular commercial seaside town in central Malta, full of shops, restaurants and leisure places. The promenade is one of the most popular social meeting places in Malta. The capital city, Valletta and other heritage sites are all within easy reach by public transport.

The school has an open plan lounge and reception, bright and airy classrooms and a large courtyard where students can mingle with friends.

LAL are experts at Leisure as well as Language. More than just classroom study, LAL will help you discover the best of the region through its unbeatable leisure programmes.

ACCOMMODATION

Students can practise the English they have learnt at school with their new ‘second family. School selects a host homes carefully to ensure a high standard. Most host homes are situated in Sliema and the neighbouring districts.

Course price – from €486 (16 Jun-09 Sep – €605/week)

Young Learner Centre Residence is located within walking distance to the Young Learner School and Sliema seafront. Available in the Summer only, rooms are air-conditioned shared rooms with private bathrooms, telephone, television, and safety deposit box (at a charge). There is also a games room, internet cafe, and wireless internet (at a charge). Breakfast, packed lunch and dinner is included.

The Young Learner Club residence is the main accommodation for the IELS Junior Summer Camp programme but is also available for our teenage students on the Vacation English Plus programme. It offers shared, air-conditioned rooms with private facilities and has free transport to the school on weekdays. Students can use the swimming pool and games room. Internet access available at a surcharge.
