On the General English Course, you attend a core of 20 lessons per week, which will give you a practical understanding of the English language and take you all the way to fluency. Your confidence will improve as we train you in all four communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

This course is made up of 30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week including the General English classes. It also allows you to personalise your course by taking an additional 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of Special Focus options.

This Special Focus Programme combines 20 lessons of General English with 10 lessons focused on language study inspired by your destination. Visit fascinating locations, from museums and galleries to successful local businesses and charming neighbourhoods.

Add One-to-One sessions to the General English course and maximise your progress through private lessons. With individual attention, these sessions are 100% focused on your requirements and designed by your teachers to match your specific needs.

Taking the time to seriously focus on your English will open up unlimited opportunities for you. You will develop fluency, accuracy and appropriate uses of English across all four language skills. The highly specialised teaching we offer will enable you to communicate in all situations, confident when interacting with colleagues and able to use the English language to achieve highly specific aims. As well as improving your English, you’ll develop many other workplace skills. Homestay
You will enjoy all the comforts of home life: security, comfort and home cooked food, plus, you will have a unique cultural experience (it’s a great way to directly learn about British culture). In addition, you will be able to use your English in a natural environment outside of the classroom. The homestay consists of mixed gender accommodation with single or twin room (if you book with a friend). Each room is furnished with a bed, desk/table (if not in the bedroom, you will be able to use a designated area for studying), chest of drawers or a wardrobe, mirror and a waste paper basket. Some rooms have TVs.

Residences have communal open lounge-kitchen areas with all the cooking facilities you need. Linen will be provided by the school; however, you should bring your own towels. Common areas are cleaned by school staff and you will be responsible for cleaning your own bedrooms. All residences have single rooms with either en-suite or shared bathrooms. Every room has plenty of storage place, internet access (bring your laptop) and a large desk good for self-study.

Rooms include all the luxuries a student could want, from comfy double beds, en-suite shower rooms and plasma TVs to contemporary fitted kitchens. The premises boast a range of modern facilities including a DVD cinema room, gym, laundry, study room, bicycle store room, and 24 hour security and reception. Located in a Georgian square in the Clifton Triangle near Bristol University, the residence is in the heart of Bristol’s student area.
