COURSES
General English
On the General English Course, you attend a core of 20 lessons per week, which will give you a practical understanding of the English language and take you all the way to fluency. Your confidence will improve as we train you in all four communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Intensive English
This course is made up of 30 lessons (22.5 hours) per week including the General English classes. It also allows you to personalise your course by taking an additional 10 lessons per week across a wide selection of Special Focus options.

English in the City
This Special Focus Programme combines 20 lessons of General English with 10 lessons focused on language study inspired by your destination. Visit fascinating locations, from museums and galleries to successful local businesses and charming neighbourhoods.

One-to-One sessions
Add One-to-One sessions to the General English course and maximise your progress through private lessons. With individual attention, these sessions are 100% focused on your requirements and designed by your teachers to match your specific needs.

Academic Semester/Year
Taking the time to seriously focus on your English will open up unlimited opportunities for you. You will develop fluency, accuracy and appropriate uses of English across all four language skills. You will benefit from excellent guidance, monitoring and feedback throughout this course. As your English and your confidence improve, you will broaden your horizons and gain a huge advantage in your chosen career or education.

Cambridge English Exam Preparation
Success in your FCE, CAE or CPE exam. We’ll do much more than simply teach you how to pass the Cambridge English Exam. By the time you complete the course you’ll be more confident in all aspects of your use of English.

The highly specialised teaching we offer will enable you to communicate in all situations, confident when interacting with colleagues and able to use the English language to achieve highly specific aims. As well as improving your English, you’ll develop many other workplace skills. The ability to solve problems, prepare for meetings and argue for your point of view will prove invaluable as your career advances.

IELTS Exam Preparation
Exclusive to EC, the Higher Score® system is targeted to helping get your best possible IELTS exam result. Our highly trained teachers will give you the skills to see what you need to work on to succeed at the IELTS exam.

ACCOMMODATION
Homestay
You will enjoy all the comforts of home life: security, comfort and home cooked food, plus, you will have a unique cultural experience (it’s a great way to directly learn about British culture). In addition, you will be able to use your English in a natural environment outside of the classroom.
The homestay consists of mixed gender accommodation with single or twin room (if you book with a friend). Each room is furnished with a bed, desk/table (if not in the bedroom, you will be able to use a designated area for studying), chest of drawers or a wardrobe, mirror and a waste paper basket. Some rooms have TVs.
