ABOUT PROGARM

Absolutely English Young Learners welcomes young people aged 9 to 17. In Wrekin College (Shropshire, England) we have found a partner who shares our focus on quality, individual attention and care, putting the student at the centre of the learning process.

Features of the program:

2. Quality and Safety – a ratio of at least 1 staff member to 3 children on campus
3. An average of 8 students per class grouped according to age and level, with a maximum of 10
4. 23 full hours of tuition per week

7. The owners are on site throughout the session and many summer staff return year after year ensuring continuity and quality
8. 15 hours of well-supervised and structured activities per week including sport, drama, music, arts and crafts and team building
9. Opportunities to continue practising English outside the classroom during meals, breaks,
   activities and excursions
10. Discos, talent show, sports afternoon and Friday evening extravaganzas
11. An additional 6 hours of performance workshops to build confidence, encourage teamwork and enhance presentation skills
12. Two full-day and two half-day excursions per two-week stay
13. Tennis or horse riding academies and individual lessons available

COURSE

At Absolutely English Young Learners believe that students learn best when lessons are interactive and fun, and are designed around them. Teachers help their students set goals and achieve them by:
• Making sure they are in the right class. We will assess their passive English online before they arrive, and their active English on the first Monday of their stay
• Providing 28 lessons = 23 full hours each week in modern, well-equipped classrooms, each with an interactive whiteboard
• Offering small classes with an average of 8 students and a maximum of 10
• Giving students a reason to talk through stimulating subjects, such as popular British culture, current affairs, science, music, business and media
• Linking lessons to the activities and excursions so that students can use what they learn in class straight away
• Teaching study skills to help students learn more effectively
• Giving ongoing feedback and holding individual weekly progress meetings to help students achieve their goals
• Sending a detailed academic report, advising students on how to continue learning after their stay

As an alternative to the afternoon multi-activity slots twice a week and on payment of a supplement, you can now
choose to enrol your child in either Tennis or Horse Riding Academy or both (4 hours of tuition per week). Small groups mean your child will receive individual attention from our instructors and therefore the opportunity to make maximum progress – and all while practising English!
